Disneyland
Tuesday Sept. 28th
Today we went to Disneyland!
The forecast for today promised another scorcher, but we were still super excited.
The kids were looking forward to another day with their cousin and Granny and Gramps.
We all had early admission that day so we could get a head start on all the fun.
Our must have family picture in front of the Disneyland Railroad Station.
Ches and I were the lucky parents to go with Granny and Gramps and the oldest 6 grandkids. The plan was to hit the big rides, but Space Mountain was closed so the kids opted to go on Nemo's Submarine and Autopia.
Here's Lee in his car. He was on the track next to me, he was a crazy driver. I sure hope his skills improve over the next year before he gets his license.
Wild Boy Rickie had a great time driving.
Unfortunately, he was a bit to short to have his own car, so I had the "privilege"
to be his passenger .
Gramps being goofy as we waited to unload.
Rob looking "cool" in his car.
Here's the mischievous six waiting in line for Buzz LightYear.
It was a lot of fun to spend the morning with these guys. They had so much fun together.
What great memories they will always have of this family reunion.
We ate lunch in the perfect spot. While we were eating one of the girls spotted Belle coming out of the castle. We rushed over for our photo shoots.
Here's Bella, Hanna, Emma, and Kimmie

Kimmie wanted me in the picture too, how could I say no?
"Princess Says" with the kids. It was so neat.
After lunch the middle group of kids went with Granny, Gramps, Cassie and Steve. As the rest of us were heading off to Adventureland we saw Mary Poppins.
Of course we stopped to watch the show.
Becky, Melanie and I in line for the Jungle Cruise
Erica, Robbie, Rickie, and Lee
Ches loved the ship. One of his favorite book series, Master and Commander, describes ships similar to the Columbian, so he really loved being able to explore the ship.

She loved going fast and going up and down the hills. I think she rode this over 10 times during the week. She is so like her Mama in that regard.
Around 5 we met up with Gran and Gramps and sent the youngest kids with them. Rides and more rides until dinner time at the French Market. By the time dinner was over, Ches and the kids were getting tired so we opted to head back to the house early. The high temperatures had really taken their toll. All in all, it was a super fun day. I loved being in Disneyland during the off season. The lines for the rides were so great. Many of the rides that usually take 1+ hours of waiting time were only 20 minutes long, if that. For example, time we went on Pirates of the Caribbean, we almost walked onto the ride, so we went on it twice in a row.
It was crazy having such a large group, but it was so enjoyable.

The memories we made will never be forgotten.
