BOISE PART 1
April 18-19th
Ches finally did it, he applied for US citizenship. We have been planning on it for a while, but when is residency card was expiring we decided not to put it off any longer. The application process was awful. Immigration kept sending back over how I wrote the check, lame. Then in April we got the notice to be in Boise on April 19th for his interview. We were so excited! We booked a hotel just up the street from the immigration building. It was a real nice hotel. This is the view from our hotel room. Definitely a good sign ;)
The kids went swimming first thing. Ches and I just watched because we still had to go to dinner. After dinner at McCraw's we all went swimming.

Early the next morning we dropped Ches off at US Immigration and Citizenship. He was on his own for the interview and tests. Ches was real anxious so we arrived early for his appointment so he was called back first thing. While Ches was at his appointment I took the kids to Walmart to buy food for the drive home. We were only there for less than 10 minutes when I get a call from Ches. "Nic there's a problem..." My heart stopped and I almost dropped the phone. Was my worse nightmare coming true? Then he laughs and says he passed and we need to come back to Boise in a month for the citizenship ceremony. Could have strangled him at that moment, but yelled woohoo a bit too loud instead. The kids and I celebrated the good news in the produce department ..hahaha. Ches walked over to the store to join us shopping. Then we went back to the hotel for a bit more fun and relaxation before we left for IF.
On the way back we stopped in Eden, ID at the truck stop 'The Garden of Eden"
